A pioneer in Latino cinema, Mario Moreno became an icon in South America. His films struck a cord with the working class of the third world. In many ways Cantinflas became associated with the national identity of the  Latin people. Moreno fought in labor rights, becoming a spokesperson for exploited workers. His actions were sincere and films emulated his persona.

Its a new year, this is the time where I tend to reflect on the year that was and my plans for the year that is 2013. 2012 was a big year for me, I had took a 2 year+ hiatus on all things art. I had decided to figure out what I wanted to do in terms of film, music, lowbrow art. In order to do that, I had to rediscover who I was as a person.

I felt like I fell off the path, but my career had taken me very far and left me very lost. I had made a lot of rad friends and accomplished everything I said I would do before thirty. But now what? It all felt kind of meaningless (to a degree.) So around April of 2012, I figured it out...I don’t want anything from my art, no recognition, no rewards; just the feeling I get when I create.

I launched this site a few months later and I started creating again for the first time in two years. I started making music again, I started filming again, I separated myself from my art...I felt good again. I adjusted, like a friend once pointed out. So what about 2013? IDK, expect a lot of art/exhibition, the release of Circle Of Friends (a music/media project I'm involved in) and I'll probably produce a film/TV project...
...So here's to a new year homies.
